The new CARS STARS National Series and UARA will co-sanction next year's Tekton Battle at Berlin in 2027.

The annual summer super late model race at Michigan's Berlin Raceway has grown into one of the most prestigious races on the short track calendar. Next year, the new CARS STARS Super Tour, which will be the new name for what is currently the ASA Stars National Tour, will team up with UARA to co-sanction the event.

UARA's super late model series is run by Ricky Brooks and features a series of events mainly in the southeast. UARA has sanctioned the Berlin race for the last few years and will now team up with Marty Melo and the new look CARS Stars Tour.

The collaboration is another step in an effort to unify pavement super late model racing around the country into a more consistent set of rules. Melo and CARS STARS co-owner Kevin Harvick along with Tim Huddleston are committed to finding a common ground for racers and teams to compete in different tours and tracks around the country, without changing cars to conform to different rules.

Next year's Tekton Battle at Berlin is set for Tuesday night, August 10.
