Marne, MI— Blake Rowe and his TK Racing team were doing a lot of celebrating after winning the Turn One CRA Pro Series presented by Chevrolet Performance Pro-Tech 100 at Berlin Raceway on Saturday night.
The victory ended a winless streak dating back to August 23, 2024, when he won at Birch Run Speedway in Birch Run, MI.
“Probably more than any of them, be perfectly honest. This has been the longest drought I've been through, and to have this group stick with me, man, it means an awful lot.” Rowe said in victory lane. “Honestly, there were plenty of times they should have quit on me, and they hadn't, and I certainly hadn't quit on them, so just really thankful to finally wrap one up.”
Austin Hull jumped to the early lead from his pole position with Chase Pinsonneault and would lead the field for the first 34 laps.
Rowe would move up to third by lap 15 after starting fifth. He would continue his march to the front by challenging Pinsonneault for the second spot on lap 20. Pinsonneault held on to second for now.
Rowe would get a run on Pinsonneault going into turn three on lap 29 and would take over the second spot.
It only took six laps for Rowe to catch and go to the inside of Hull going into turn one and would grab the lead.
The first caution flew on lap 37 when Buddy Head and Chloe Mazzagatti got together and spun in turn one.
On the restart, Rowe would continue to lead and be uncontested until the competition caution flew with 14 laps to go.
Seth Christensen would try to challenge Rowe for the top spot on the final restart with 14 laps to go, but Rowe would hold on to the top spot.
Rowe would pull away for his first victory in a little over two years in the Turn One CRA Pro Series.
Christensen held on to second with Brian Campbell in third. Pinsonneault would finish fourth with Boris Jurkovic rounding out the top five.
The Turn One CRA Pro Series returns to Owosso Speedway in Owosso, MI on September 26th for the Owosso Nationals 100.
