The Six Pack Summer Shootout Series is back this Friday August 28th for the $5,000 to win Ed Hoffman 111 presented by Feece Oil Co.
The event honors one of Chicagoland's greatest short track racers, Ed Hoffman, whose iconic black No. 1 Late Model became synonymous with winning throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Hoffman was a seven-time Late Model Track Champion at Illiana Motor Speedway, collecting 93 feature victories, including three Tony Bettenhausen Memorial 100 triumphs. He also enjoyed tremendous success at Grundy County Speedway, where he captured six Late Model Track Championships and 72 feature victories.
Joining the Super Late Models will be the D'Arcy Motors NASCAR Street Stocks and Action Truck Parts Crown Vics both running Double Features.
The Ed Hoffman Classic presented by Feece Oil Co. boasts one of the richest purses of the season.
