WISCONSIN DELLS, WI (August 8, 2026) — Dells Raceway Park delivered another historic night of short-track racing on Saturday, August 8th, hosting the prestigious 46th Annual Larry Detjens Memorial 125. A stacked 26-car Alive for Five Super Late Model field packed the pits, putting on an unforgettable showcase for the packed grandstands capped off by a massive fireworks celebration. When the checkered flag flew, multi-time champion Casey Johnson stood tall in victory lane, capturing his second career Detjens Memorial Crown.
The 125-lap main event fired off with Ty Majeski and Weston Marthaler bringing the elite field to the green flag. Majeski asserted his dominance early, pacing the field until Minnesota hotshot Tristan Swanson tracked him down and wrestled away the lead on lap 46. Swanson controlled the middle stretch of the race, navigating the tricky Wisconsin Dells D-oval.
As the race crossed into its second half, the contender list narrowed. Defending Alive for Five Series Champion Casey Johnson—who earlier in the evening laid down the fastest lap of the night at 13.183 seconds—began a relentless march to the front. Johnson sliced through heavy lapped traffic at a torrid pace, hunting down Swanson before executing the race-winning pass with just under 50 laps remaining.
Once out front, Johnson never looked back, driving off to secure his first Alive for Five series victory of the 2026 campaign and etching his name onto the Detjens Memorial trophy for the second time in his career. Swanson crossed the stripe a hard-fought second, followed by Max Kahler in third, Gabe Sommers charging from 16th to finish fourth, and Majeski rounding out the top five.
