The Big 8 Late Models have been racing at Madison since 2005. This Friday night will be the 29th time the series has come to race on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile.
The Big 8 cars will be part of the Liuna! Local 464 Night that also features Modifieds, Legends, and Bandoleros. All kids 11 and under are admitted free to the grandstands and are welcome to bring their bikes, big wheels, and power wheels to race on the track during intermission.
Earlier this Year: Back in May, Michael Bilderback made it two Big 8 wins in a row at Madison when he held off Jeremy Miller to win the 48 lap race. Jake Gille edged out Bobby Wilberg for the final place on the podium while 2025 May winner Randy Sargent went home in fifth place. Bilderback is the all-time wins leader in the overall Big 8 series.
Past Winners at Madison: Jeremy Miller has the most Big 8 wins at Madison with five while Dale Nottestad (4), Bilderback (4), Jon Reynolds Jr. (2), Ross Kenseth (2), and Zack Riddle (2) drivers with more than one victory. Other winners include Randy Sargent, Casey Johnson, Austin Nason, Steve Rubeck, John Baumeister Jr., Ryan Carlson, Brian Hoppe, Brady Liddle, and Tim Sauter.

The First Race: Tim Sauter was best of the twenty-four car field on June 28, 2005 when the Big 8 cars made their first trip to Madison. A total of forty-four cars were on hand to battle it out. Bobby Wilberg was the fastest qualifier that day with a lap of 18.812 (95.684 mph).
